Ingrid's Words

Hi Church Family

Something I have done in the past during a difficult time was having scriptures written out that were meaningful at that time. Now we have the Covid 19 crisis - we are receiving relevant scriptural promises, like the recent one from Andre that Proverbs3:25-26

Have no fear of sudden disaster or the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.

& other scriptures that have encouraged you already.

Put them on a notice board or pin to wall space or sellotape to door. Have it somewhere where you regularly see it & can speak them out. It's the Word of God & it's POWERFUL & brings Peace, Rest, Strength, Comfort & Encouragement!!

Bloom Where You're Planted

Barbara’s Blog

Some years ago, while facing many changes, Holy Spirit challenged me to ‘bloom where you’re planted’.

Facing change and uncertainty can be frightening. It can also be an opportunity to dig deeper in your relationship with the Creator of the universe.

There are seasons in life. He’s planted eternity in your heart - see Ecclesiastes 3 especially v11. When Yahweh God places us in a sudden, unexpected situation, as the current global virus has brought, ask your Heavenly Father what He’s planning to do in and through you. He’s placed us in His global garden for such a time as this. Just as a healthy garden needs planning, prepared soil, fertile seeds, water, warmth and weeding, so does our soul.

Check out John 15 - it’s a great gardener’s guide!
The Master Gardener has placed you in a home, family, neighbourhood, town, city, and nation. Even in ‘lock down’ we can bloom! Enjoy His company in the garden of your soul.

See this as a challenge for Holy Spirit to bloom something new in and through you, to:

  • Dig deeper in His Word for fresh revelation

  • Weed out baggage; old mind-sets and lies you’re believing about yourself and Him

  • Water long-forgotten dreams and purpose

  • Soak situations in prayer

  • Release a fresh fragrance of His Presence

  • Bring beauty where there’s blandness

Tend the secret garden of your heart - it’ll grow delicious fruit. Enjoy blooming where you’re planted!

A fellow gardener
